Respite carer grant ,Reckonable income??

Hi, I know the Domiciliary Care Allowance is not a reckonable income, but if you receive a respite grant, paid as you are already in receipt of DCA, is the respite grant taken as part of the DCA or separate.? I rang Susi today the guy was very nice but didn't know. Thanks,cathy
