Re-Fitting Head/Shaft Question

Any of the gear heads who know their fitting, looking for some insight.

    I have a Titleist 910 (I think, whatever the 2012 is) driver with a dyamana kali'i x flex.

I'm wondering could I go to somewhere like Fore Golf and get the head off, and the shaft fitted into a Taylor Made RBZ (1 or 2).

I have the RBZ 3 wood with that shaft and its great. My theory is the TM driver will have more of the smash/pop feel than the Titleist, which I like.

Something tells me there'll be a huzzle mismatch or shaft performing differently issue that means its not a good idea?

Yes, I could just call Fore Golf.

Any decent pro should be able to do it for you. Check the tip size of the Kali'i and get the Taylormade adaptor to suit it. However, dont know if they will be able to get you an RBZ head on its own - but just buy a stock one and throw away the shaft (the adaptor may be retrievable, and if lucky would be the right size to reuse). No need for Foregolf especially.

    This

Any decent pro should be able to do the job. Obviously the length of shaft and swing weights may or may not have to be fiddled with.
Not sure if you can buy a head separately, I actually called Foregolf the other day about buying a shaft from them and they don't really do that sort of thing unless its an adjustment/new shaft they've recommended from a fitting. Don't know if they sell heads.

Might be cheaper to buy a bog standard RBZ driver as cheap as possible on the interweb, along with a Taylor Made tip adapter and get your local pro to do it.

Can the Kail'i be ordered as a custom option maybe ?

The RBZ will probably launch higher than the titleist you might need to fiddle with the settings a bit

Don't throw the shaft away, u will get 40-50 euro on eBay for it, u could also check eBay for a RBZ head, I have bought a r11 (head only) off there

I paid 50 quid, it was an original r11 head so that's now being updated by 2 models the r11s & r1, it showed a bit of usage on it but I wasn't bothered by that, I stuck a Bassara Griffin shaft in it & it's amazing( for me). I have tried 6-7 shafts & the griffin blows them all away, check out any reviews for it online, all very good.
I don't hit it any further but my accuracy is now miles better, I was a decent driver anyway but this has made a big difference, I have hit 12-13 fairways in a round a couple times this year rather than 6/7 previously
