    Hey,

Yesterday the back motor bracket (the last one holding the wire) fell off the molar completely:eek:, it slipped out of the wire too. Now I have a piece of wire sticking out from the next bracket which isn't a motor. I don't know what to do :(:(:(.

Should I arrange a quick appointment ASAP or should I wait till the 20th July? My first tightning appointment is on the 20th July.

Will this incident affect the treatment, causing it to drag another month or so?

    Not a big deal OP
go see your orthodontist tomorrow to get a new bracket. The wire is still working on the rest of the teeth in the meantime...
you can use some wax on the wire end to stop it cutting your cheek

If it starts to hurt then make an appointment. Nobody will give you a medal for taking the pain and pokey wires will give you ulcers.

The wire isn't interfering with my mouth in any way, there is ZERO pain. I'm planning to wait until the 20th as the clinic I go to is very busy and you usually have to book an appointment prior a few days. I hope these few days without a motor bracket won't damage my teeth further more.

Don't make the decision yourself, ring them and let the clinic decide....
