Single bed from the front seats?

It's a Fiat Ducato with regular front seats and am hoping to be able to convert them to a single bed for a child at night.

The passenger seat swivels to face back towards the living area.
The driver's seat does not swivel.

Any ideas on how you could plug the gap between the seats and create a single bed for a child?
What would be the best way to have the seats - both facing forward or one back and one forward?
Maybe place some form of board across the seats and put a single air mattress on top?

Any ideas/suggestions/pics of something similiar?

id say swivel it and maybe use a bean bag to fill the gap,if the seats are not bucket type you might not need timber, i would go for foam rather than a lilo.

i saw something recently in an ad where they had a sort of "stretcher" or hammock type thing across the two seats from the passenger window to the drivers window. Sorry, very hard to describe!

They seem to be VW- specific and are very pricey

Sure, but for £100+ probably it's a bit too pricey for what it is.

Anyway, dont think it will suit cos I don't have a flat panel on the door to rest it on like it does in the VW.

The only thing that is flat is the door handle but its not wide enough and dont think it could take the weight and stress anyway.

My brother just made two of them with plaster board props left over from building his house - folds away to about 4ft long then. Got camouflage material from the army surplas place in midleton for cheap.
