Image Optimisation

What are folk using for image compression at the minute?

I'm familiar with sites like http://tinypng.org/ and http://jpeg-optimizer.com/ etc but just wondering if there is an 'industry standard' or if there is any site/application which gives significantly better results than the rest.

The details in the ebook, along with that compression web app & using sprites is what I would consider industry standard.

Zeldman suggests "To better serve mobile, set bandwidth target for your site and never exceed it. Clearleft's is 300KB per page"

Not sure about Windows or web offerings, but ImageOptim is what I go by on Mac.

Check out this list, a whole bunch of different compressors tested.
