Broken Clipless Pedal

    Hi guys,

This is probably a dumb question but I thought I might throw it out there anyway and see what people have to say on it…

I’ve been using a pair of Time iClic 2 Racer clipless pedals since last summer. These are my first clipless pedals so I basically just did an internet search for good clipless pedals, saw these ones highly recommended and then bought them (got them for a good price). It was probably a bit overkill for a first pair of clipless pedals but I’ve been happy with them.

Anyway, I was out the other day and had a bit of a wobble on the bike. My commuter bike has normal pedals so I’m still not totally used to having my feet locked into the clipless pedals… in my panic I pulled my foot out of the pedal to avoid a fall. Afterwards, I noticed that my foot wouldn’t lock back into the pedal. When I took a look at it I noticed that the pedal was a modular design with what I have since read is a “carbon blade” holding it together. This carbon blade has now snapped on my pedal so it’s effectively useless now.

Anyway, to my question. Does anyone know if these carbon blades/plates can be repaired/replaced or is it bin time for my pedals?

I'd get onto time, and they should be able to get you a replacement blade -it *is* a serviceable part afaik
