One on it's own not working is not likely to get you much cash. Put it another way I bought a working secondhand one a year ago for 40 quid.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

I picked up a working secondhand cat for my import Integra (so they would be relatively rare compared to other Irish cars) for about €100. Unless the cat is from something that is not easy to come by Id say its worth next to nothing if its not working.

It's only an old one off a 206, i doubt it's worth much or anything.
Just seemed interesting that they're worth stealing but no one buys them.

Seems like something that would have the equivalent of cash 4 gold etc

My mate gets about 25 quid for a cat. Last car we scrapped was a 1998 skoda and he got 30 euro for the cat out of the scrap yard

Cool, glad to hear a bit of actual info.
Do all scrap yards take them?

Well the lad in kilcock scrapyard takes them. I'm sure they'll all take it. As far as I know they sell them on and make big money off them.

The guy in kilcock has a huge room full of them $$$$$$$:D:D:D:D
