I remember "clocking" that at a previous Wimbledon, when Federer won it, with the match over he sat down and rummaged around in a kit bag, then swapped the watch he played with for a new one to wear when getting the trophy. I'd say companies pay well to get their gear in shots like that!

Murray had a mini-crisis last year when he won the US Open and couldn't find his Rado before the trophy presentation. (Apparently he's on a 7-figure deal to be a 'brand ambassador'.)

Even with the backdrop of thousands of cheering fans television microphones captured the Scots less than edifying first words as a grand slam champion.

"I don't have it, I don't have it," he said, pointing to his wrist and looking up to his girlfriend Kim Sears for help.

"Have you got my watch? I don't have my watch," he asked of her, before she helpfully pointed to one of his bags.
