Should I try to sell my car or bring it straight to a scrap merchant?

Should I try to sell my car or bring it straight to a scrap merchant? It is a Peugeot 406 1998 petrol, 1.8 with 326,000 miles on the clock. It still runs.

Do you think I'd get anything for it? Someone told me that if I bring it to a scrap merchant / crusher I'd get €50 for the weight of the metal value.

    Thanks.

Sell it, seems to be a bit of a cult following with those 406s, granted the diesel is more desirable but youll easily get 300 for it.
