Charity Event Prizes

    Hey,

Not sure if this is the right forum but I couldn't find any more appropriate...

I'm running a charity event on behalf of a recognised charity who has given me permission. I've decided on a raffle with non-cash sponsor prizes. My question is simple: To what extent am I allowed to advertise this raffle?

Am I allowed to go door-to-door, or am I restrained to private premises where I have permission?

Can I put signs up in local shops or other establishments?

Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Jason

If you are asking people for money, you will likely need a licence under the Lotteries Act. from the local Garda Superintendent(?). There will be certain restrictions attached.

    Advertising probably isn't a problem, just don't go fly-postering / leafleting.
