    Great night for viewing bats. Taking all the moths out of the air.
    Living in West Dublin and seeing them around here for the first time. Maybe about 12-15 of them.
    Amazing sights!

    i was just out (on the border of dublin 9/dublin 11); nowt to be seen, or heard with the bat detector.

    Was looking out the window at swallows low over the lake, pretty sure they were bats instead(more fluttery flight, sharper turns) , just before twilight, they were actually hitting the water...

    Probably Daubentons bats then. They fly very close to the water's surface like that. You can often see them on the lower lake at Glenalough.
