34kg Calor Propane Gas Cylinder - Regulator

I replaced an empty 34kg Calor Propane Gas Cylinder today and now find that I can't connect our regulator to it as it won't screw on.

Has there been any change in the gas outlets in these cylinders in the recent times? There's certainly a difference (slight though it may be) between the old and new cylinder.

I have another old cylinder that I have yet to replace and I can still connect to this with our regulator. The regulator looks very like the one in the link below but is over five years old and not necessarily the same model.

I'll have to get on to the gas supplier in the morning but it would be nice to have a bit of info before contacting them.

    Thanks.

As far as I know there has been no change in cylinder connections if you post a pic of cylinder and connections and someone will be able to say for sure
