DPD delivery signed for...but not by me!

    Hi there

I ordered a phone online from Meteor on Thursday last week, and their system made a total balls of the order, failing to record my delivery address, and the order has been recorded as delivered on their tracking page but I haven't received anything, so I'm assuming it's gone to the wrong address and someone has signed for it.

Meteor can't track the order, and they can't seem to tell me where it was delivered to, and DPD are closed for the weekend.

I'm sick of dealing with Meteor at this stage, so is it possible to get the bank to reverse the transaction?

Yes, call them and tell them you want a chargeback.

Did you get on any further with Meteor/DPD?

Bear in mind that you'll have to show the bank that you exhausted all procedures with Meteor before they will process the chargeback afaik.

People signing for a package that doesn't belong to them can happen - it's up to the retailer to investigate with the courier in a reasonable time frame and locate the package/replace if it can be shown that you didn't receive it.

    Hi

Yep, it turns out the meteor rep sent me the wrong DPD tracking order - one for someone else's order in other words, just to add insult to injury. My order never left their system, and eventually meteor got back to me saying I'd be refunded in 4-6 days. Complete waste of time.

Pretty poor show by Meteor, glad you got to the bottom of it in the end!
