I'm looking to replace the DVD drive I have in my PC with a Blu ray drive so I can finally watch all the blu ray discs I have on my PC now that I'm upgrading it with a new soundcard and all.

I'm not much interested in writing onto Blu ray discs. I just really want it to watch films and such on my PC. So do you guys have any good recommendations for what I should get??

    Cheers!

Yeah don't buy one. Blu-ray of a PC is a painful. You're going to need to buy software to play the movie's because of the DRM which will need constant updating. It would be a lot less hassle and cheaper getting a standalone player if you want to play Blu-rays.

Well I have a PS3 that plays Blu ray fine but it'ld be nice if I could play it on my PC...

I'm still debating whether I should get one or not... Maybe for now I'll stick to the PS3...
