Thought that it might be a nice idea to have an award or recognition to boards members who bend over backwards to give info and advice in different forums. Some of the advice that I have read on the small amount of forums that I subscribe to are so helpful, almost better than actually paying money for this advice! I know that not everyone e is an expert but I certainly have learned a lot from some of the pros on here

    Just a thought anyway!

Some forums do yearly "awards ceremonies". There's no physical prize, but it's a chance for individual posters and threads to be recognised by the communities of those forums.

I think there used to be Boards Awards, but you'd have to go back 7 or 8 years to find the last one. This place grew so much that site-wide awards wouldn't really be practical any more!

For the record: I don't need a physical memento, a gift voucher will do.

Hark at you & your gift voucher - a simple click of the Thanks button will suffice for me.

The old general boards awards were more popularity based and jocular.

Would be nice to see really helpful posters across 'non-AH' forums get a shout.

I miss when Dav and Ropey had an Awards forum all to themselves :(

    Old awards forum here

Obviously been awhile since it's been used though

Wow some names I haven't seen in a good while mentioned

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test
