    Hi, maybe I've misunderstood your post, but if you're wondering whether there is an alternative route into the PGDE for mature students, I'm pretty sure that there isn't.
    I did mine as a mature student about 10 years ago and I had to qualify on points like all the other students. A teacher I work with had a pass degree from the late 80's and had to do a masters to get the points to get into the Dip.
    Also, business/accounting seems to be one of the worst subjects for jobs so check out your opportunities.

    Also bear in mind that the Dip is now a two-year course so it is a lengthy commitment.
