Anyone got suggestions around north Kildare/Dublin area ?
Tried John Kenealy 1st and he told me my compressor was shot and he would ring me with an estimate to replace it. Never got the call so i got a new one fitted myself,Rang him back last week and he came out and said i needed oil for it and he had none  iv rang him 5 times since and offered to meet him to no avail.
I now have the feeling that since i didant use him to replace the compressor he is making it difficult or just doseant want the job.

From my own experience and reading on here, he's extremely selective who he deals with. Pure ignorant if you ask me.

I got mine done via autoac.ie. They came out to me in Bray.
The website is not up and running right, but the address is 48 Old Sawmills Ind Est in Ballymount.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did they charge?
Gas is gone in my 156 and this heat is killing me in it.

In my experience, the a/c in a 156 is marginal even when it's working perfectly! Either way though, I don't think you're going to get under the €40 AXA/Fast Fit offer.

    40 quid?
    I was budgeting 100.
Is it on par with the Bose sound system (inadequate with the engine in the car).
Mainly want it for motorway driving.

It's definitely better than nothing, but IMO the Italians never seem to have quite mastered air conditioning.

It's the only issue I have with her and was gone when I bought.
I don't need the radio anyway, I've a nice engine to listen too.

    Cheers for the help.
    Ill check them out.

I thought my air-con was not working right, but seeing as I had just bought the car I called the garage and they sent the guy out to me, so mine was actually free.

The OH's car on the other hand was totally empty of gas. I got the guys business card when he did my car, and gave it to herself. She arranged for me to bring the car into Bray a few days later and the guy came out and got it sorted in no time at all. I think it came to €50.

I certainly got that impression, i had him look at a 318 of mine a few years back.

Wouldnt really point a recommendation to him. pleasant lad but not offering enough up in terms of paths to fix the fault.
