What are these cars worth ?

    I am wondering what people's thoughts are on what these two cars are worth there not mine a good friends cars.

    Car 1
    2006 vw passat 1.9tdi 105bhp 180k km. perfect condition no marks there owned it from new. Lovely car only thing is its the entry bottom spec model no alloys nothing on it.

    Car 2
    2006 ford galaxy Zetec 1.8 tdci. Seems to have a good enough spec parking sensors alloys and all the usual stuff. Tbh that car is a bit rougher. No major marks 80k miles its a uk import they brought it in themselves in 2008.

    What are these cars worth realistically to sell privately? They asked me as they no absolutely nothing about cars. I was thing 6k for the passat and 8-9k for the galaxy. But that's just of the top of my head I could be way out. They will probably keep the passat but just to get a figure for both as the might sell them both. Thanks for the help.

    Do a comparison on carzone, donedeal, etc. See what others of the same marque and class are asking, and take it from there.

    Passat €5000...very basic spec are a hard sale!

    I'd go anywhere between €6k and €7k on both. Really depends if you want to just sell them or actually try get some money out of them.

    I figured that although I thought the one owner would help. After talking to them. They want 6k for passat and 9k for the galaxy. I think they would be as well of to just get rid of the galaxy and keep the passat. That galaxy has caused so much trouble but then anything that went wrong was fixed so its not too bad now. They really only need one car now so they were going to sell both and buy a new one. But I was thinking they would be just as well of to keep the passat and drive it into the ground.
