So i was reading about this golf practice website/app on the latest GUI newsletter this week, so i decided to give it a go.

    http://www.mygripzone.com/

We all love our stats on boards, so this is probably right up your street.

It basically gives you 6 different drills to complete (with more to follow i'm told), and you input your results after each shot. There are 3 long game and 3 short game drills.

    Long Game
Fairways - pick out a 30 yard width fairway and record how you got on over 10 balls
150y - 10 balls shot to a 150y marker, goal is to be within 25ft of the pin
100y - 10 balls shot to a 100y marker, goal is to be within 15ft of the pin

    Short Game
Par 18 - 3 easy, 3 medium and 3 hard "up and downs"
    9 Putts - 3 * 3ft putts (par 3), 3 * 12 ft putts (par 6), 3 * 30 ft putts (par 6), total par 15
8 O'Clock - 8 five foot putts in a clock around the hole.

I tried it out last night for the first time and i found it a good solid focused practice. It definitely showed up where i need to work on, and i was pleasantly surprised by some results. (My putting seemed to be a lot better than i gave it credit for.)

The focus is on trying to get in your "full round" mode when practicing. For example with the chipping practice, i fluffed a few chips, but i did my best to scramble and finish off those balls, rather than just pulling another ball out of the basket and chipping again.

All the results are uploaded onto their website, so you can view your practice stats.

I dunno guys, it might be worth a look for any of ye trying to get a bit more out of your practice sessions.

*i am not affiliated with GRiP in anyway, just though you guys might be interested :P

Looks very expensive. €23.32 for the Lite version

They would probably be better off giving people a free trial or a Free Lite version, at that price I won't be trying it.

Good point, i guess there's nothing to stop you doing the routines and jotting them down on an excel sheet or a notepad.

I just thought it might interest a few.

23 euro a year very expensive ? It's all relative but that's less than an average green fee

I contacted the guys direct, asking if there were going to incorporate round stats aswell, just so there would be a "one stop shop" for all the stats, instead of using this for Practice Stats and GolfShot/SkyCaddie for round stats.

    They responded
We do indeed! We are working on it right now actually.. Next week we plan to deliver new challenges that are very testing around distance wedge control and ball flight, then we have a few smaller items with an on-course feature being delivered after that. This will be available to all members and we are very excited about how it is shaping up. We are working with some tour players and coaches to develop it.

We hear you on the centralised point.. Watch this space in the next few months though we aren't stopping there. Would you like to be able to get GRiP to recommend practice based on your course performance.. would you like to schedule practice and get a friendly reminder if you aren't keeping up..

That is a great response and very interested to see how this progresses.. This is 1/2 the price of a lesson from an average pro and will generate long term benifits if used right IMO
