    Howdy,

For the last 2 weeks, everytime I turn on the laptop I get a fcuk load of pop up ads opening up.

I have to open up the task manager and close them off but this just doubles the amount of them. At the moment I have about 50 of them popping up. Im on XP using Firefox.

Firewall etc is on, pop ups are blocked, Malwarebytes has not detected any problems after multiple scans. I have no toolbars, ad on's or extensions...........stupid pornhub wrecking my laptop :)

    Here's a few of them...

    "Ro2.biz-we design your world"
    "Choose your runner!-Yieldmanager"

    Any help is appreciated.

... and if that doesnt work, make a new user, login as that user, log out and back in as an admin, copy over your documents and desktop folder form your old profile, into your new users profile and then log back in again as the new user. Sometimes thats the only way to avoid reformatting the machine as many of these things arent detectable by software.

    Thanks lads.

I cant seem to quote...is that normal here?

I will try your suggestions. I used super antispyware last night. There were only 350 items detected :)

I turned on my laptop an hour ago and bam...more ads. Im running super antispyware again then I will do what you guys suggested.

    Cheers!

It's probably worth noting that Microsoft are dropping support for XP at the end of this year, that means no more patching!
