I only use Amazon to buy books for my kindle. Recently it keeps suggesting that I change to a .co.uk account from my current .com

Anyone have any idea of the pro's and con's of doing this?

    The exchange rate?

I moved in the end and the main difference seems to be the recommendations that I get are more in line with browsing a local bookshop. The .com leans heavily American buying trends I assume. Other than that it all seemed fairly painless.
