Just caught the last snippet of news on XFM. Apparently two movies are going to be released.
I can't seem to find anything online. Have they been spoofed or anyone else hear anything.

Better off without one. A movie is just two episodes.

Seems to be a distinct lack of anything about it online so I would be sceptical. If they do do a film or two they'll most likely be about Robert's Rebellion /I reckon, so won't be based on the books.

Yeah I would imagine it wouldn't be based on the current asoiaf books but possibly the Rebellion or the Dunk n Egg series.
Either would be great to see so long as George has a fair bit of input.

I think i'll remain skeptical also. This would have been all over the internet by now if confirmed.

I doubt GRRM would allow a movie of Roberts Rebellion as it would reveal too much of what has yet to be revealed in the books and tv show.

The Dunk and Egg stories would definitely lend themselves to film.

None of them would be ludicrously high budgets so the risk would be relatively low.
They're all set in fairly confined settings - one castle and the surrounding hinterlands.

I'd imagine that the people doing the all the props and so on could be repurposed quite easily.

You'd kinda have to commit to 4 of them though (assuming that no more are planned after the next).

GRRM intends to write bucketloads of Dunk and Egg stories... taking them right up to the tragedy of Summerhall...

Apparently he has failed to even start the forth one The She-Wolf of Winterfell, it was due out in May.

I'd love to see Two movies! With maybe Roberts Rebellion spilt into two movies!

The Knight of the Laughing Tree(Harrenhall Tourney). Would make a great prequel to Roberts Rebellion.

    Roberts Rebellion.

Roberts rebellion would make a good movie, seems to be all hearsay at the moment though
