    Slieve Donard Challenge 2013

    21 Sep 2013

    Cost:
    £25 Registration Fee

CLIC Sargent are for the fourth year, challenging you to take on Northern Ireland's highest mountain, Slieve Donard, to raise vital funds for children with cancer.

Slieve Donard stands at a height of 2,796 ft and poses spectacular views from the summit, looking over the Co Down coast. Starting at the foot of the mountain at Donard car park, walkers will scale the heights escorted by exceptional mountain guides.
CLIC Sargent will be there every step of the way offering support and encouragement to supporters as they scale the heights for children with cancer.
All funds raised from the Slieve Donard Challenge 2013 will go towards the Northern Ireland Homes from Home Appeal. Our research tells us that on average, familes travel up to 500 miles a week to access the cancer treatment their child needs. This puts a huge financial and emotional strain on the family at an already stressful time. CLIC Sargent aims to ease this burden by providing free, self-catering accommodation close to the two main Belfast Hospitals for families to avail of when their child is undergoing treatment for cancer.
For more information on this challenging and exhillerating challenge please contact Gemma on 028 9072 5780 or email gemma.mccallan@clicsargent.org.uk
