    Hi all

I have a provisional A licence and am trying to get the full licence .
I failed the test last year using one of the driving school chopper type bikes.
I am used to driving sports bikes and am hoping to do the test on a cbr250 1997 that I have this time.

My question is if I arrive at the test centre with my cbr250 will I be asked to produce a restriction cert for it.?

Put yourself in the examiners position, testing someone on/in a certain class of vehicle.
What would YOU be looking for??

As far as I know you will not be able to use your 250cc bike for full A license test! For A test you need a bike with over 35kW and at least 595cc. Furthermore, test for the new A license does not need restriction as that is now A2 category.

So you got a LP for all 3 categories or you applied for A category and as that has no exclusion you got all 3 categories?

What test did you apply for? If you applied for A category test, than you must have a motorbike with minimum 595cc and over 35kW for the test.

Yep, if you apply for the A type test that should be no problem.

If you have a learner permit which was originally issued before the new rules in 1999 and renewed until now, you would have an unrestricted learner permit, so no IBT required.

You should go for your test on a bike that is at least 595cc with a minimum of 40kw to qualify for getting the A full licence.
You cannot go for your test on a 250cc bike.
