If you're trying to love life, why are you watching RTÉ?

Fair enough. What is the specific error message, and what are you trying to watch it on (PC, tablet, etc)?

I've just realized that there was a massive opportunity in setting up www.adoby.com in the mid-naughties.

Is RTE using flash preventing you from loving your life?

It's a point actually, you can't watch RTE on an iPhone and the RTE Player app is sh!te and crashes every couple of seconds
And to think they want to bring in a universal charge for everyone to pay for this absolute joke of an organization!

If Ireland was RTE I'd leave.

    (Oh, I see you have)

BBC and ITV and many many more stations available Free to Air in Spain but not RTE.
Their advertisers should be told. Only advertise porridge and spuds. . .

Yeah you can. Why would you want to though?!?

No but I have been drinking some of that mint tea from Lidl. It's not bad - especially with a drop of honey - but you need to use two bags to get a decent mug.

Flash is unavailable on all iDevices due to a feud between Adobe and Apple a couple of years back. To be fair this is Apple's fault, but literally every other major news content provider has switched to a HTML5 video feed for their mobile website and RTE hasn't. Muppets.

You can't. Flash doesn't work on iDevices and RTE's own app crashes a couple of seconds after being opened.

Also the reason I wanted to was because my dad was going to be on the news earlier and I wasn't going to be at home, pretty legitimate reason for wanting to use it I would have thought?

Rte app works fine on my 4s. Granted, I never use it much, but its flawless when I do. Only issue is the content...

BBC and ITV are not making the broadcasts deliberately available, it is overspill from the satellite footprint same as we get in Ireland. Would British expats in Russia or America not be equally entitled to the services if the ones in France and Spain were being given them deliberately? Satellite footprints are subject to change and people who spent a lot of money to get the signals could lose them overnight.

    Thanks for the info.
Thought British, German, Swedish and many more broadcasters were Free to Air all over Europe.
