Hi, we were trying to get our starter repaired for our '79 UTB445 but guy cant get the parts to repair and reckons it was the original one fitted and that they changed them to a lucas model in the early 80's as the original gave trouble. anyone have any knowledge of these? or anybody got one scrapped somewhere ? most seem…

Hi,just seen your post for ub445 starter,two people that you can contact are; Curley Tractors,Kiltormer,Ballinasloe,0909627139, or Martin Coen,Derrew,Kiltormer,Ballinasloe. both have been selling and repairing Universal Tractors for a long number of years, Curleys been the main dealer,hope this might help,
