I hope to get some double glazed windows fitted soon . I have noticed that "A" rated glass seems to have what looks like a tint. Is that the norm now or can I have A rated clear glass.
    Thanks.

I think what you are referring to is not a Tint as such

Low E glass has a Film on the inside, of the outside pane of glass, ( hope that makes sense), this causes an optical distortion, but it's not a tint.

Thanks and yes it does make sense. Does that mean that if I want clear glass the energy rating is lowered.
I read somewhere that A rating is now the lowest being supplied by the main suppliers....would this be true.
    Thanks.

It is clear glass, just distorted by the film.
rating A is best, so go for that
