Does anybody know what is going on at Maxol in Templeogue village? Are they just renovating the existing service station or is something new going in?

The plans are up on the SDCC website, but as far as I can tell they're pulling the whole thing down and rebuilding it to give themselves more space.

I asked in the shop opposite last week and they said the maxol is expanding.

I wonder will they knock that old Gaynor mcveagh car showroom on site and build over that. That has been empty years

Went by this morning on the bus, work is progressing alright. They're tearing down both buildings and putting in a Mace where the existing showroom is, more pumps on the forecourt along with parking, etc. I'll actually be a very nice shop in Templeogue, the car showroom has been a bit of an eyesore alright.

I hope they make it into a big convenience store and make good use of the site.
