How long does it normally take for the vendor to sign contracts after the purchaser has?

Was there a closing date specified in your contracts? The vendors usually delay returning signed contracts until anytime right up the proposed closing date.. That way they keep their options open to pull out right up to the death.

    Cheers

There was a closing date of 4 weeks from signing from the vendors side. We had asked for a certain date.

It has been over 3 working weeks now and nothing, also difficult to get through to vendors solicitor.
