Means Test

I got letter this am to say my JSB is running out soon and to fill out the forms for the JSA means test. I am not earning any money and my OH. My OH is a student and all year he has been earning approx. €150 p/w, social welfare are aware of this and have made adjustments.

My query is this, since the start of June my OH has been earning €260 p/w as there are a lot of staff on holidays etc, however, his boss has said that after mid July he will only be able to give him one shift a week. The means test asks for the latest pay slip, if we are assessed on that pay slip we will probably not be entitled to very much, so should I go into local office and explain situation or should I just enclose the latest payslip and send another one in when the circumstances change? Any advice?

    Thanks!

Bring in 3xrecent payslips and explain about the situation that OH is covering for hols etc at the minute and what they will probably do is take the gross amount paid and divide by number of weeks....e.g if OH has earned €16000 since Jan 2013 they will take this figure less prsi and divide it by number of insurable weeks to get an average.
