    Any half decent carpenter can cut you a perfect size piece

    Yeah thats what happened the original ... had to get rid of it.

    Just get some cardboard and make a template then cut a sheet of ply.

    Most carpet shops do really thin carpet that you can stick on with contact adhesive spray
