Could anyone recommend a good Superman graphic novel that would be suitable for a nine year old? And is there a decent origin story out there for same age group?

Superman Birthright by Mark Waid and Lenil Francis Yu is my go to Superman origin story. It was canon for a few years until Infinite Crisis in 2006 (I believe that's when it was) and the subsequent reprinting of Superman Secret Origin in 09, which personally I've never been a fan of

It's also readily available at your local comic store so it wont be hard to find
