rent allowance for a single person in a 3 bed

    Hi,
    It looks like I'm going to be made redundant very soon. My main worry is I live in a 3 bed house in the country, but I'm a single person. I know that previously a single person attempted to get rent allowance here and got refused....I have been here for 6 months and the rent is cheaper than one beds if I moved back into the city. I have never claimed before so I am clueless

    This page has the list of rent allowance limits for every county.
    The only thing about rent allowance is that if your rent is 0.01c above the rent allowance limit, you won't get it. Go to your local Community Welfare Office to discuss it/ apply, etc.
