Primary Teaching-advice+help?

    Hi There
So, I've made some huge mistakes so far in course choices in college and I deeply regret things. I've always been interested in teaching, since I was younger and believe I would be an excellent candidate for teaching.
I have a level 8 in English and Philosophy so secondary teaching is essentially ruled out but I am interested in primary, I have a love for a wide range of subjects including art etc so believe that it could be the perfect fit. My problem is that it's taken me so long to realize this now I am doubting myself. In school I won scholarships to the Gaeltacht but my school was weird and out of a small year I was the only one who did mostly honours which made it difficult to get really what I needed and my teacher convinced me to do higher French instead of Irish because there wasn't the time for me to be taught Irish so I'm stuck with an A in O level.
So I suppose, who here as a mature student has gone back to do the Leaving Irish and how did you find it as I'm scared I won't be successful? Also, I need to work as well as I am broke so is Hibernia the only option really? It's very pricey, is it good?
Long rant but I hope someone can help-im 26
