    Hi all,

I've a Dell Inspiron 620 MT BTS PC with an i3-2120 processor, a 1TB HDD, 4GB RAM and an AMD HD 6450 Graphics Card. It's about 18 months old.

Recently it's been crashing a lot (could be a week between crashes or it could crash several times a day) and I can't identify any one thing which is causing it.

I took a photo of the last 'blue screen' I got and would appreciate it if someone could decipher it for me so I can try and address whatever it is that is causing the problem.

    Cheers,

    Ben

Look for a program in Control Panel > Programs & Features called "Protectdisc" and remove it. acedrv08.sys seems to be a copy protection "driver" which is crashing and causing your system instability. Probably came with a piece of software or game you installed. If you don't see protectdisc under there, use the driver uninstaller on this page

Thanks YoYo, I used the driver uninstaller app as I couldn't find the "protectdisc" program. Fingers crossed it does the trick.
