Judging from the grammar and spelling I can only assume it's J1'ers.. To my knowledge (Currently Living and working in Manhattan) you'll be hard pressed to find cheap accommodation "in Times Square" for 9.

Try this link possibly from Airbnb.com.

Not only that but there's never any valid reason to stay in or anywhere around Time Square. A 10 minute walk west to Hell's Kitchen could easily cut the bill by 25%.

Scary isnt it? You'd think their grammar and spelling would actually be better.

Sure. The Plaza is nice. Not in Times Square as such but close by and overlooking Central Park too, which is nice. I'm sure 9 of you would be no problem for them.

I would suggest there is no point in answering this until OP clarifies what the request is.

I stayed one time at the Vanderbilt YMCA, about 10 mins walk from Times Square. Clean, safe, secure, cheap, AC, right next to Grand Central.

Just checked prices for this month-double room $130.......not bad for NYC in peak tourist season
