Grass seed and dry weather

    Ment to hit mid to high 20 tees next week I was going to plough a place and reseed it after I cut bales off it at the weekend any one have any experence with sowning grass seed and possable dry spell?????

    MENT TO HIT MID TO HIGH 20 TEES NEXT WEEK I WAS GOING TO PLOUGH A PLACE AND RESEED IT AFTER I CUT BALES OFF IT AT THE WEEKEND ANY ONE HAVE ANY EXPERENCE WITH SOWNING GRASS SEED AND POSSABLE DRY SPELL?????

    Direct drill don't plough as soil loses too moisture. Seed away never saw a crop fail yet

    Have 10 acres to do end of next week,will burn off Friday and graze next Wednesday,Thursday then top and few runs of the grubber followed be drill.seed ordered today went for 3 variety s tyrella,abberchoice and Aston energy.80% diploid and 20 % tetraplid.no clover for me .wondering should i fire out some dung before the grubber??.i usually plough in dung but this plot doesn't need to be ploughed

    No, dont do it. Check for slugs and pellet if in doubt

    Would you mind if I asked you what kind of yo-yo's the above mix cost? Reason I ask is I only sought a quote for pretty much same mix today except I'm getting Kintyre instead of Aston Energy

    What are you using the mix for? Grazing vs 1cut silage vs 2cut silage?

    Grazing mostly and baling any surpluses that cons up.

    Got quote back today and wasn't able to get Aston energy unfortunately so just stuck in mesquita to replace it.so it's now a 100% diploid mix.going to cost me 75 euro for 13 kg bag.simillar mix last year cost 95
