Can you not log on to the router, what brand is it?

If you have forgotten your router password then there is normally a pinhole on the router to reset it to factory settings.

Plug in an ethernet cable into you router and computer.

Head to the router address and change the iwreless settings.

To find your router address hit Start>Type "cmd" (without quotes)>Type "ipconfig" (without quotes)> Look for "Default Gatway", type the IP into you browser address bar.
