    Per the thread title.
    Reason; I need to know the Irish options/extras prices for A4 models from May 2009 for a VRT inspection tomorrow. Model manufacture date: July 2009 (known as a 2010 model).

    I have the UK price list from May 2009. Link;
    http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/audi/production/PDF/UsedCars/Refresh/A4/A4%20-%20July%2009.pdf

    On the Audi.ie website I can only find the 2013 price list though. Does anyone here have a copy of the 2009 version? May be listed as 2010 guide. If so can you PM me?

    If not maybe you can find the Irish 2009 price of the following options;
    Bang & Olufsen
    Audi Music Interface (AMI)
    Audi Parking System (rear only)

    Thanks.

    Go to www.archive.org

    Put in www.audi.ie

    Select the snapshot you are interested in.

    You might find the info there.

    http://web.archive.org/web/20101206191745/http://www.audi.ie/etc/medialib/ngw/ie/misc.Par.0026.File.pdf/pricelist.pdf

    Had a look no sign of an accessories list.

    I think you have to pay what they value the car as but you can appeal it later.

    You might be OK, do they not depreciate accessories over 4 years :)

    Thanks, for the purpose of calculating extras though my car is 4.8 years old which means I pay 55% on extras. Dang, just below the 5 year mark for no fee on the extras. Aw well.

    My understanding is that extras for VRT purposes are depreciated over the first 4 years of the car. So for example, VRT would be calculated on extras on a 1 year old car as a percentage of 75% of the original cost of those extras. How are you arriving at 55%?

    A4 2009 Saloon Product guide - dated Dec. 2008
    A4 2010 Saloon Product guide - dated Dec. 2009

    Don't have anything issued between those dates. Checking back the 2010 model changes (and price reductions!) were sent to me on the 28th September 2009 and took effect for production from week 43/09 (late October).

    I'd say the attached 2009 product guide is the one to get the figures from.

    I don't see the Executive SE model listed in the attachments. It had a higher standard spec than the SE model. Was the Executive SE a UK-only model/spec? For example/comparison, the Executive SE & it's standard spec & options pricing are detailed in the 2009 UK Product guide at http://www.audi.co.uk/content/dam/au...0July%2009.pdf

    Obviously the pricing in the above Audi guide is in GBP. If I'm charged on options & if the specific model (Executive SE) wasn't ever sold in Ireland do you know if the options pricing will/can be taken from the UK options price list for VRT calculation purposes?

    Comparing the UK & Irish options pricing the Irish options pricing is a multiple of the UK price for most options. I assume though that VRT options calculation would be based on the higher Irish price rather than the more realistic UK price.

    Hi bazz, I took the calculation from the "Vehicle Registration Tax
    Section 8 Valuation System for New and Used Vehicles"
    page 7

    Could you not wait? 55% is a fair chunk at a guess.

    I would but registration of the car must be done within 30 days of import. I imported the car last week.

    That thread is 2 years old. I'm nearly sure extras are only taken into account on cars 4 years or younger. Why not give the NCTS a ring and ask them?

    Hi bazz, thanks, the post is 2 years old but the posts' content is still the same as per the latest "Vehicle Registration Tax Section 8 Valuation System for New and Used Vehicles" available at http://tinyurl.com/lklfce9 or http://www.revenue.ie/en/tax/vrt/faqs-vrt.html#section9
