Seized seat post

My seat post has seized in the frame, not a clue why as I only adjusted in a few months ago and it was perfectly fine until then.

I've tried removing the seatpost clamp, sprayed it with GT-85/WD-40 etc, and giving it a good yank, but it doesn't budge.

It's a steel frame, and I'd prefer to keep the seat post instead of buying a new one, luckily enough it's set at the perfect height for me, but it's eating away at me knowing that it's stuck if I ever wanted to move it.

    Suggestions?

I'm assuming you straddled the top tube and faced the saddle and clasped the bike steady between your legs and twisted the saddle/post to loosen the grip first. You'll never get a seatpost out by pulling straight up, you'll need to twist and pull at the same time.
