rent allowance query

    Hey guys, a friend of mine has been told she is eligible for rent allowance so she is going to look for a place bit she is not sure if she needs the deposit and first months rent or if the c.w.o will give her a cheque to cover the start up costs. replies appreciated thanks in advance.

    Only in very exceptional circumstances will the CWO give out deposit's,if she is stuck she should ask.

    ok I will tell her that,thank you it seems times have changed when I was growing up I would hear of people saying that the c.w.o payer there deposit and first months rent

    Landlords that are used to rent allowance know that rent is paid on the 26th of every month and usually in arrears so might be understanding once they are paid a deposit.
