Hi there, I was wondering if anyone would have any good ideas of songs to play/ sing in a children's choir for the 50th anniversary of our primary school
    Help is much appreciated.

Is there any particular theme for the celebration? Or a symbol traditionally associated with the school?

One of our teachers wrote us a school anthem, might be worth a thought.

There's no theme to work with. There will be past pupils at the ceremony. They are going to launch a small book of photographs about the school over the years. I thought maybe Graduation/ Friends Forever (by Vitamin C) and ABC (by Jackson 5). The songs don't have to be of the same genre. Just very hard to think of appropriate songs for the occassion.

Yes thanks byhookorbycrook. I might have to start writing one aswell! What music did they put with it, or was it their own melody?

Own melody but a really rousing chorus that the kids like to belt out!
