Liquid Nitrogen Tanks, Ai Straws, Etc

Anyone care to explain all this stuff and where to get the tanks?

a few lads have come in and told me i should get my own and keep my own straws and the likes.

Where do i get these tanks? How do i keep them and how much they cost?

How long would the straws last in these tanks?

how much ai do you do each year and on what .. do you have a technician(good one?) in the area

ai around 20 purebred charolais and a few freisians that I'll keep next year.

I do get some good enough bulls now and again that I lads tell me I should get straws from them to keep for personal use but have no where to keep them, etc.. and then it'd be handy to pick up straws here and there for ai'ing my purebreds myself.

I have a lad in the area who does Ai for ''sligo-ai'' i think, he's alright i suppose, would he supply them?

imo you might be better concentrating on heat detection and let the tech do the work.... i dont think those numbers would justify your own , nitrogen refills alone are near 200euro anually off the top of my head,........

you can buy straws from any company you fancy and have them left in his tank foryour use so your not limited to what bulls he has.........

only one opinion ..i`m sure someone else might say its a good idea ... just know a few who tried and gave up as always had a bull anyway so used him full time in the end.......
