Good Colourful leaves or flowering Trees for a long drive

Just wondering if anyone could recommend some good trees that have good season flowering or which have some nice colourful leaves for a long season. i.e. like the ideas of a nice bright pink colour / purple etc. Would appreciate some recommendations......

Depending on scale and for real seasonal colour (throughout all seasons) I'd recommend maples, possibly Acer cappadocicum.
