strawberry runner advice

    i have three huge strawberry plants very healthy yeilding a good crop, my query is, i have alot of runners coming off them, what is the best thing to do with them, normally i just cut them and discard ?

    I normally pin the runners into separate pots of compost and when they root there I cut them off from the mother plant. Sometimes you get good new plants - my batch from last year disappointed me this year though.

    The weather is a bit better this year so I will give it a try thanks
