    Hi,

I'm looking to buy a house in the Ashcroft Estate in Raheny and searched the Dublin Council planning application website where I discovered that planning permission has been granted for: The construction of a three storey, 80 Bed Nursing Home facility comprising a 60 bed elderly care unit a 20 bed specialist alzheimer unit and associated ancillary plant and accommodation at 52, 54, 56 & 58, Station Road (Adjacent Ashcroft Housing Estate). The planning reference is: 4525/09.

This was granted a in August 2010 ago yet there is no sign of development and I can't find any information from any other searches.

Does anyone know what the status of this proposed development? Is it due to go ahead or what?

Any information would be helpful and much appreciated to determine if this will happen and the impact it will have on the area before I do buy a house near to it.

    Thanks.

Impact such as what? Is there adequate parking as part of the planning appliation? If so I can't imagine what other concerns you would have.

There appears to be suitable staff parking with access through the Ashcroft estate. I'm wondering if this would increase traffic flow to any signifcant amount.

I am also curious about the amount of construction that is required: how long would it typically last?

I don't suppose if you know if it will actually go ahead do you? As I understand it the application is valid for 5 years so up until August 2015.

    Thanks.
