The last SAROP of Rescue 118 using the Sikorsky S61 was in UCHG this morning 2 hours before the S92 took over. Some pictures here that I took while she was there. A very wet and blustery day for her last visit.

Classical helicopters which served us all well, what will become of them now?

Amazing to think that that helicopter has been around in one variant or another since the 1960s. Great stuff.

I was lucky enough to have gotten a few flights in the S61 over the years with work, fantastic machine for its age. Hopefully the S92 will have as much success over its lifetime.

Even the crewman was taking photos. Excellent shots, historic. Keep them safe.
