Now that the summer is actually upon us I have for some reason decided that I want to replace my rain gear , my current set being old and water resistant at best.
    Has anyone got any recommendations?
Is the Galvin Green gear worth it's astronomical price tag.
Is their equally as good of rain gear at a more affordable price elsewhere?
I am willing to shell out a fair few euros running into hundreds if necessary if I am convinced of the quality of the gear.
    Ta in advance.

The answer on the Galvin Green is yes, but search this forum and you can read about the other good alternatives - this has been discussed in detail a few times recently.

    +1
Excellent. As good or better than GG. And much cheaper.

    Thanks for the feedback lads.
The Mizuno gear is much more reasonable than the Galvin Green gear alright.
Has anyone any experience of Sunice gortex gear.
Pretty much half price at Halpenny golf at the moment, €400 for a set down from €700

Considering the amount of people wearing 500 euro waterproofs at the Open and still standing under umbrellas blocking everyone's views; I'd say your wasting your money.

Proquip. You can buy directly off their website. Reasonably priced, very good quality, quick delivery. They supply rainwear to the European Ryder cup team.

I've a Galvin Green Paclite top, was pricey but 100% waterproof and very light to wear, over a year old and looks brand new, £180 in Golf Store Europe. Recently bought a Mizuno Impermalite trousers (not over trousers) and seems fine so far but both times I wore them the rain stayed away, €80 in Halpenny.

My 2 year old Galvin Green jacket has recently started to leave in rain. But thankfully it is still under warranty.

Thanks again for all the feedback lads.
Though if you has all agreed on one set of raingear then you would have made things a lot simpler for me ;)

I guess I will try out the Galvin Green and Mizuno kit and make my decision from there.
    Ta
