    FREE STUFF?!? REALLY?!?

Yep. It's taking up room in my attic and I need rid. What I want in return is a hassle-free transfer. Take everything, take one thing, use it, give it away, sell it, I don't care. Just take it.
Please don't post, "I might want x, I'll come back to you". The first person to say, "Yes I want this part and I will collect it this weekend", gets it. Preferably collect where I live, or within reason I can meet somewhere in SW Dublin at the weekends or Dublin city centre before or after work.
Anything not earmarked for collection by 13th July goes to the bin, or maybe Rothar.

First up is the frame. It's a 2006 Carrera Banshee, 19". Full suspension. My workhorse commuter for the guts of 3 years, ridden in all sorts of conditions but only once off road. But that was fun, it's a good all rounder. The paint is in ribbons, the nuts and bolts are a bit rusty, but it's a solid frame. Heavy as hell, frame and forks on their own are at least as heavy as my entire road bike. The rear shock appears to be fine. The forks (Suntour XCR) are great forks, but as of last winter had blown a seal. So they need a full service. Comes with Tektro cable disc calipers attached. Work fine, but rusted to ****. Dump them if you don't want them. Headset was replaced about two months before I decommissioned the bike. Stem and bars are the original, nothing to report on them. A nice project for someone who'd like to spend time stripping down a modern suspension bike and polishing it up all nice again and then use it for messing about on the trails. I'd probably get the frame dipped and sprayed.

Then I have this range of parts which I offered up two years ago but then never followed through. All are in the region of 10-15 years old, condition should be clear enough from the photos. Everything works, just might need a scrub with some steel wool to remove the rust.

Uno KAlloy bars. 585mm wide, probably less than 2,000km on them, I fitted them towards the end of the bike's use. You can see they've faded in the sun, would work fine for a respray.

    Shimano STX-RC Rapidfire shifters, 8-speed.

2 Pairs of shimano DX v-brakes.

Shimano STX-RC triple crankset. The taper on the left-hand crank is warped, so they creak like hell. Right-hand crank is actually fine, despite how it appears in the picture.

Deore LX front mech. Pretty sure it's a 28.6mm clamp.

Deore LX rear mech, long cage.

GT Platform pedals. They need servicing.

    Hi Seamus,

Thanks for the reply - sorry I misunderstood your original post...

I'll pass to Zoomer if they are able to call over to you to collect.

    Cheers

Hi will collect what's left today if no one has already done so. Cheers!

Eh yes, sorry. Zoomer let me down, so this stuff (minus the brakes and rear mech) is all still up for grabs.

Grand. Alkos got the shifters, so everything else is there. I also opened the box and realised I put a pair of PD-M540s in there, so you can have them too. They've about 15,000km on them, so they need a service and they're tatty as hell, but they work.

Friday evening works for me if it suits you?

Sorry I'm going away Friday for a fortnight. I'm going to have to pass unfortunately. Sorry about this.

I'll take the m540s if you're getting rid of them, if you could meet near Croke Park as I'll be working all day.

Nowhere near croke park today, but going to the match tomorrow if you want them then?

Heading down to Tipperary tomorrow morning, so won't be around. I'll leave them for someone else sure, best of luck anyways.
