Injuries Board settlement question

    Hi all

Hoping someone can help me on this.

I got offered a settlement from the injuries board and both parties accepted. The deadline was the 12 of June. All good so far.

Now the injuries board orders a payment. How long does this take? Does the injuries board take another long time to do this? Also how long does the respondent have to pay?

Is this cheque sent directly to me or back through the injuries Board again?

Just hoping to get this sorted soon as I have a lot of medical bills to sort.

Should I expect a cheque in the next few weeks?

    Thanks

InjuriesBoard.ie will issue the respondent insurance company with an Order to Pay and they will pay you. Matter of weeks as far as I know

if you have a solister it will be sent directly to them so they can take fees out of it if not it will be sent onto you within 2-6weeks

This sure is a long process. I hope it does not take six weeks for them to issue a cheque. They got the order to pay on Thursday the injuries board said.

All and all this has taken 14 months since I applied. It sure drags out.

    HI,
I am going through the same right thing now.
The insurance company received the order to pay today, I have completed the hole thing myself (without any solicitors)
I am just wondering how long did it take you to receive the payment after the order to pay was issued?
As I was out of work after the accident I have ended up with quit a few bills to pay and I really want them all sorted and paid off before the Christmas season starts and more bills start coming in.!
